Nice shots.
Last time I tried to take photos at a rugby match, I was threatened by a jumped up steward that he'd take my camera off me if I take photo's during the game!
Anyway, I'm going to have another go at Worcester on Saturday, so I would be interested to know what settings you used and any other sports photography tips you might have.
Cheers
Will

good luck for the season ahead, hopefully we'll be straight back up playing against you next season Last time I tried to take photos at a rugby match, I was threatened by a jumped up steward that he'd take my camera off me if I take photo's during the game!

Yep - the French ones look crap too.
The Welsh have the right idea re the "pattern". Just the solid colour, insignia and a sponsor (if that). They're still doing these skintight jobs though.
Scotland strip should just be dark blue with a white thistle imo.
Will, nothing specific really - just kept the aperture down to the max (5.6) as I wanted as little DoF as possible to try and set the players/ball out from the background. Unfortunately the distance meant that wasn't really achievable. Left it on aperture priority though with an ISO of 200 as it was light enough to not end up with too slow a shutter.

Matt,
I'm actually a London Irish supporter (going to Worcester for a friendly), I'm guessing your a Saints fan then, you will be straight back up i'm sure.
Cheers Graham, hopefully I will have greater success this time. Last time, it was my first outing with my dSLR, so I just had it on auto, and the results were not good!
