New Audi RS3

I've read a few reports of a new Audi RS3 coming out. Supposedly it has the R32 V6 with twin turbo's producing +350bhp. I guess those MTM lads with have various chip upgrades starting at +400bhp soon after debut.

Any of you lot heard about this?

Nothing other than not being available until 2005 and the info you already have (3.2 twin-turbo, 350bhp, 4wd, etc)

I've only seen a half-page in the News section of AutoCar which says no more than has already been said here.

THE AUDI RS3 IS OUT IN 2006, BUT SOMETHING TELLS ME ITS GOING TO GET BROUGHT FORWARD WITH THE LAUNCH OF SUBARU'S WR1 AND MITSUBISHI'S EV08 MR, OTHERWISE THEY WILL HAVE ALREADY LOST THE MARKET THEY ARE AIMING FOR. THE FIGURES ARE 380BHP WITH THE 'R' POWERPLANT AND ALTHOUGH NO OFFICIAL FIGURES HAVE BEEN RECORDED IT LOOKS VERY FAST AND RIGHT IN THEIR WITH THE SCOOBY AT AN ESTIMATED SUB 5 SECOND 0-62, THEN 150 PLUS.
Fast car but will it be enough to stop the stangle hold of the Japanese beasts?

There is a write up about this upcoming model in AutoCAR this week. The guesstimate £35k. Shirley not, £10k more than the S3? Bit too expensive methinks - you could have a Porsche for that money.

Yeah Autocar has a nice pic of it (apart from the new corporate gaping mouth look). It is a bit pricey... can get some nicer equipment for 15k less too.

All this RS3 stuff in Autocar is complete hype. The pictures they've used are only Photoshopped Audi press pics of an A3 3.2 with the new grill added. Also Audi never release RS models before S models. The S3 hasn't even been confirmed yet and you can guarantee that the RS wont be available for at least some time after that.
