...stuck an SC-Power plenum packer on this weekend and am completely surprised at the different 'feel' of the car. The claim is that the OEM plenum is sized to match the original capacity of the engine (ie 'only' 3500cc) and *should* be at least the same capacity as whatever is the actual capacity now being run. I thought it couldn't do any harm to try and might help a little with reducing temperatures as it has a decent heat-sink area, but, there is very noticeable real difference. Can't honestly put it down to anything else (and it's not been on a RR), but I'm happy biggrin

Pics possible if anyone wants to see what I'm wittering on about wink

Do you have shortened trumpets as well or just a standard base.

Just feels a bit more 'urgent', sorry, that's a crap description I know and nothing like empiric enough. I just wasn't expecting to notice anything (suppose it could be the old placebo effect).

Trumpets are about 25mm shorter but flared 400 ones still, so the packer adds another 15mm height to the 'roof'.

Yeah, where do you get those? rather than the ones with a stick-on badge like I've got.

Get a good 10/15mm chopping board(plastic ones). Get the template of the plenum base, cut it out. This is what my Dad did to his old V8S(HarryW). ! Save yourself a good £100

Are they the ones with more clearance for roller rockers?

They are the original factory rocker covers that were cast for the earlier engines (before the bean counters took over!).

I am sure that roller rockers would fit underneath because they are the same as the RV8 Tuscan challenge covers from back then.

Can confirm that they do, I have a set of yella terra's on mine with no clearance problems
