Repainting silver spider
Discussion
Following Valhalla's paint recommendation, I repainted my right front spider over the weekend. I have to agree, Vauxhall Star Silver is a very close match to the spider silver.
And a word of warning, I'd just finished repainting the inside rim, where most of the paint had come off, when the wheel fell over onto concrete flags (my patio flags are not that even...) damaging 7 out of 8 of the spider spokes
So out with the filler, primer, more silver paint, lacquer and whilst it's not perfect, it'll do for now. So for anyone else trying this, protect the outside face of the wheel whilst working on it!

Hi Darren, glad you got a near match, even though its not quite as sparkly as the original.
I know how you feel about the wheel falling over, same thing happened to me with the lacquer still wet! it picked up all sorts of sh*t, i had to completly strip the wheel and start again and fill a few more dints in the spokes, efin annoying eh? But there was one consolation in having to re-do the paint, and that was because i was not 100% happy with the first paint job.

Yes, thanks again Dave, think you're exactly right just not quite as sparkly as the original colour, but still better than the before. Now I thought I was the only one daft enough to have the wheel fall over on me, but with the lacquer still wet, ouch! Here's to
