Richmond gearbox

HI, have got a Richmond 5 speed in my Cobra and i want to change the oil, they recomend either there own or Redline 75-90 synthetic, i am trying to find an alternative in the UK, the bods at Richmond say this oil has no addatives in it and iam trying to fathom out just what this means in as much as where does the addatives start in a synthetic base ?
