New camera's on the A20

Was on the way to work this afternoon and went past some newly installed camera's, over the weekend i presume. They are small camera's above each land and placed where a gatso used to be. ( they are there in both directions and in the 50 limit between the sidcup queen marys junction and crittals corner. They are grey in colour and as i said very small and front facing. When i went past them there was a van which seemed to be playing around with them in some way.

I went through them at an indicated 60. Two questions, what are they and do you think they will have been working when i went past them.

Thanks for the help i am sh*ting a brick as i already have 3 points for something completely unrelated and have been driving for a year.
