To be honest, this is really directed at Andy.

I emailed Holset a while back about availability of HX35's over here. I got the standard reply back that Holset turbos were not suited to use on petrol engines due to the high EGT's in relation to diesels.
My response was to ask them to look at the Hunchback, which is running 7's on a single turbo and a 2.1l engine (I didn't know Red Victor had Holset experience then) and all the yanks that are running Holsets on Ford Merkurs, etc.

I have spoken to several people and have heard many different opinions regarding turbo sizing but was wondering about the experiences of people on here?

I was personally going to use an HX35 but have since found out that many Swedes running 10's on their street legal cars are running as big a HX50's!!!
