The moon tonight

[hawkaye]

The moon has been pretty amazing the last couple of nights (if you are in to that sort of thing), here's a shot from half an hour ago.

Anyone else taken any? There was a lunar eclipse today but the weather round my way was rubbish

I think there was a big thread on these not long ago.... I think this because, something made me get my ass into gear to take one

Wow! How did you take that!?!?! So much detail!

I got some pics of the lunar eclipse out here in the Western Australian desert with the works D70s, but there are pretty woeful compared to that detail...! They do however show good colour.

When i get back home i might post one up for posterity (not for technical debate! ) as it was pretty impressive to see. Websense blocks photobucket here...

Just wish i knew it was happening and i would have brought my tripod up to site. I had to balance the camera on the roof of the ute with the lens on my mobile phone!
