Hi
I am wanting to change the stereo in my car but have established that the previous owner had already done this and cut away the original connectors.
Does anyone know what wiring loom the Chim '96 used so I can match up?
Thanks in advance

If the original connectors have been cut off, could you not just put a standard male ISO plug on and therefore have plug and play with most new stereos?

My 1997 Chimaera has an ISO plug built into the TVR loom as standard by the look of it BTW

Thanks

Mine is a 96, I couldnt find anything that looked that it might just plug in. I cut off the wires and connected an ISO connector with bullet connectors. If you look at the wire colours and gauge, its pretty obvious which ones are the power ones. Use a multimeter to find which is the switched (ACC) one. The speaker wires roughly match the ISO connector. A bit or trial and error may be necesarry. To confirm the speaker wire positions, power up the unit and change the balance and fade so that only e.g the RH front speaker would be on and change the bullet connectors around until that is the one that comes on. etc. Seems a bit long winded but only took me about half an hour start to finish.
