Both door mirrors on my '96 Chimaera have deceided to stop working. Previously both were working fine however both have now stopped together. Have checked all fuses they're fine & checked other things on same circuit which are working as they should. No power is getting to the main switch in the o/s door panel.
Has anyone had similar problems? - Any ideas what to check next would be greatfully appreciated.

Mirror control unit is behind the stereo, switch on the door much harder to get to, trim panel has to move (you can get to the switch without taking it off but it's a pain)

Just re-read 96 chim mirror relay may be in the drivers door

First thing is to get the door speaker out and find out what system you've got

sounds like a good bet ... the electrics in the door are prone to corrosion problems as they get wet ... my passenger window has just gone dead

Well it's either the switch, the relay, the fuse, or the wiring

The older relays had a habit of breaking (because they got wet in the door) D'oh just like ATG said

When you put the trim back on, use wing nuts, makes it much easier
