Nurburgring - it must be the season!!

I also have just got back from the ring. I have had the car up for sale and wanted to do the ring before selling her... probably keep her now 'cos I still have a grin on my face from the drive there, round the track and the drive back via Zolder.
She did not miss a beat.
The only problem I had was when we stopped for lunch at a service station - I pressed the key fob to activate the alarm and that was the last juice left in the battery, just enough to activate & immobilse the car and no way to switch it off!!
The service station did not sell my kind of battery so had to rig up some wires from the car battery to the key fob and hey presto - deactivated.
Anyway, I would recommend a lap or two but only on a quiet weekday. Apparently it was absolute carnage on Sunday with several track closures throughout the day. Well worth reading the excellent Ben Lovejoy site.
Finally, I came across a website called http://www.BridgeToGantry.com who photos cars on the track - only 10 euros a photo.
So here I am with my son (he is the sensible one in the helmet) courtesy of the BTG site

Nice pic of you on track!
I met up with Dale, who runs the BTG site, at the Ring and he took me for a lap in his MX5. Doesn't sound much but he is a driving god - I spent most of the lap looking out of the side windows as we drifted from one corner to the next!
He lives nearby and tests bikes at the Ring for one of the top be mags so he knows his way round
