BMW meet pictures

PH arranges a meet....and for once it didn't rain.

PistonHeads returned to Virginia Water last Sunday for its first BMW only meet. The sun was shining and the good people at VW have even made the car park free for the first 90 minutes too, no reason not to turn up then?

And turn up you did, you'll see from the pictures that we had a great turnout with all sorts of BMW's there from E30's to a 500+BHP M3. One thing is for certain, BMW owners are top people with a real enthusiasm for the marque, and despite us all wondering what someone was talking about when they mentioned 'indicating' and 'inside lanes' we all had a great time.

Vixpy was even decent enough to open Surrey Rolling Road on a Sunday and allow us to do some power runs, with some surprising results for some.....but I won't mention how M3 cabs seem to have a dislike for drinking regular unleaded before hitting the dyno!

My car of the day was sixspeeds gorgeous Z4MC, finished in white with a carbon roof. Keep an eye on PH over the coming weeks for more on this car.

After this, we are keen to do more one marque meets, anyone fancy a Porsche one?

Wish I could have come along, but as I live about 450miles from Surrey, it would have been a little too far...

Still, looks like it was a good day though. Agreed on Sixspeeds white Z4M too. Gorgeous yum

Is that just a sticky piece of carbon on the metal roof, or a proper bonded in replacement?

out of interest anyone know the results of the shown dynamo test (on Z4M) - interested to see if BMW claims are 'spot on' or not...

White one was bang on the BMW figures, the blue one was a little down but was almost showroom fresh so needed a few more miles to truly loosen up.
A new 535d was almost bang on manufacturers figs too, the M3's were a little down but shown that they perform better on V Power or similar rather than regular unleaded.

Well I thought it was funny... and the car itself is stunning.
Mind you, I'd have great trouble picking between a white one and a blue one...

PAH! What a load of cobblers. The car was awesome, the plate was great and very fitting. I was jealous, as i suspect you may be just a teeny weeny bit....?? I doubt i'll ever be able to afford a plate like that, let alone a car like that.

I was certainly back to earth with a bump on tuesday as i climbed back into the van. frown

My old Z3M lives on I see!

Looks very clean in the top right photo driving away.

I would love to catch up with the current owner if anybody knows them?
