Does anyone have any back ground knowledge on the Sagaris which is for sale at David Gerald's Number plate - T666 SAG. I'm 95% sure that a member on here owned it

I seem to recall that car being the demo at HL Gorner when I bought my Griff there.

Does David Gerald's offer a warranty with the sale. Mr Orange was purchased from their and has had no problems, well only with speed bumps rotate

Too True! My rear valance came loose last week, When I was going around a tun, I could here a rattle. Had a look and the bolt holding the centre stainless bracket between the exhaust was missing. The thought did occur to me of ripping the valance off like Mr Orange, smash Expensive business.

Let's just say that Gorner's demonstrator was well and truly 'demonstrated' - I wouldn't buy any ex-demonstrator.

A.G.

It sounds to me like you might have an interest in the sale of this particular Sagaris. Sorry if my opinion upsets you.

I wouldn't hesitate in buying an ex-press car or a demonstrator, in fact, I very nearly bought Mr Orange direct from TVR before it went to David Gerald. The only reason I didn't is because at the 11th hour the buyer of my Ferrari 550 pulled out.

TVR's were designed to be driven hard, the key is to make sure they are maintained properly. You won't get a better maintained car than one owned by the manufacturer or a dealer. They have a vested interest in keeping the cars in good, reliable condition. Nothing more embarrassing than a press car or demonstrator breaking down whilst doing its job!

Well there you are then - you have your opinion and I have mine - but I'll not chastise you or call you a misinformed tit for having an opinion different to mine.

if david gerald are selling the car will be right up to scratch. with reference to previous comments about hard use its impossible to drive these cars hard on the road for more than a few minutes and even on track they dont take that much hard driving ,so possibly a silly thing to say

What do you mean impossible? is it because they break down or overheat or something?

I think there are fair arguments for and against buying a demo. On one hand it can be said that the cars are driven hard but on the other the dealers are always keen to keep the cars spot on and fettle any rattles or niggles. A dealer will always run the car in first and in my exerience only let known and trusted customers take a car unaccompanied. At the end of the day, you could buy a car with one private owner who was too impatient to run it in and drove it hard. On balance, I would not be concerned about this car being an ex-demo.
