I know how he felt. My front splitter has a scrape on it thanks to my having been directed into n ever-narrowing lane a mile away from Gidleigh Park.I nearly burnt out my clutch doing a three hundred point turn on a narrow, muddy uphill section strewn with large rocks.

Got to the hotel and they said "that always happens with satnav directing people here".

In my defence, it was pissing down, visibility was bad and my sixteen month old son had decided that he really didn't want to be in the car any more.

Funny...

But what was he doing down a trakc leading to nowhere with his ex.

Was he looking for some horizontal shennaigans or had her tied up in the back?

One took me to Regent Street south of the river which happens to be a very small back alley behind a pub, when i went to look at the christmas lights. Amusing though.

Perhaps she was 'current' rather than 'ex' when they set off...

There is a pretty big building site at the end of my road at the moment. At the same time they are renewing the main drains and hence have closed a couple of roads off while this is happening. Diversions setup and lots of signs.

Cue delivery trucks for the building site (bricks, roofing trusses etc) blindly following their satnav for their delivery and COMPLETELY IGNORING THE SIGNS!!!!

Its starting to really get to everyone now - big truck drives down my street (just wide enough for a car, never mind a full sized artic) and then spends 30 minutes reversing back up again. Since when did satnav negate the need to actually read the road signs....

Bloody morons - its not as if the diversion signs are small and insignificant. :grr:
