Hello all,

I currently have a tubi fitted to my gallardo and am interested in going that one step further and removing the cats. Can anyone recommend somewhere to get it done in the london / south east and can anybody tell me how much i should exect to pay? Also, I keep my car in an undeground car park with many other cars around it. Am I going to set off car alarms everytime I set off?! I have been told it will be LOUD! (which is just the way i like it!)

Thanks for any help.

I've had mine done for two years now and have loved every moment of it. It is definately alot louder (127Db's on full chat!), but sound and flames are awesome. Its at its noisest/raucous when its cold so starting up in a morning may cause a stir in an underground car park!

Anyway just go for it, you won't regret it. lambo dealers will charge you 6 hrs to change them out, so i guess you'd be looking at about £900.Obviously independants will be cheaper.

Andy.

ok thanks guys, i think i will go for it. I don't mind it being loud as long as it won't set off everybodys alarms! I am guessing with the flames you have to be careful not to be too aggresive with the throttle while pulling away after filling up!

Have you ever had any problems with the police pulling you over andy? (i am sure you have, but i mean because of the excessive noise!)

Cheers

No problems or tugs from plod with regard to noise so far, just envious looks so far. Then again I don't rag it through town. Did get a police escort from the french motorway this year on our way back from Monaco though. Something to do with maybe racing away from the paege booth...?

sorry to show my lack of knowledge of how my car is actually put together, but are the bypass pipes a better bet or do i just have the cats removed?

Correct, had mine done a few weeks a go! The sounds is spectacular! The standard sound is soooooo tame in comparison!!
