I have noticed a few people offering loan equipment so people can do swap outs to test Equipment, instread of buy loads of new parts.

I was thinking it may be worth holding a loan bank of equipment, that could be sent to anyone having a problem, if they pay the postage and replace any parts they use.

Would need people donating any spare they may have. and somone to hold the stuff. or it could all be held togther and the last person who need's it keeps it till the next person does. I know the shipping will be a bit more expensive, but they will not have to ship back.

If you have other idea, please let it be known.

Leigh

It's a superb idea and one that was kicked around .. but no one really managed to tie it down to a std piece of kit for a known set of problems..

Perhaps it's needs someone of your analysis solving prowess to establish the kit and the symptoms before someone needs the kit !

Why not kick off a Wiki? We can then list our own, basis of loan, area of country etc.

I have an ECU+matching air meter for instance.

Well we would need a Flapper and HotWire set-up.

I have my flapper injection system splitter box (waved it around at BBWF biggrin) - ironically the one fault it can't prove conclusively is a duff ECU but it will rule out just about everything else very quickly.

I'm surprised more people haven't built them... scratchchin

Ian, we find somebody to sort it after the ECU failed and often make use of your ECU experience/help. That is what I did last year (somebody fixed my original = resoldering did it), and got a spare in the mean time. So, now running on the original and a spare on standby. Seems like nothing can happen to me, but unfortunately only ECU-wise....

I've had a sticky wiki in the past, but I found that bit of soap and hot water sorted it out ;^)

Stick with it Leigh, everyone on here goes thorugh a bad patch at one stage or another. You have a Wedge and loads of enthusiasm for the Wedge and also loads of knowledge that people love sharing and thats what matters smile
