Mostly my own fault really. Road tax is due today, trouble is i still don't have the V% for the bike. In my rush of excitment when i picked it up i totally forgot about the green New Keeper slip, as did the dealer i bought it from. Only realised after i had the bike about a week, and by then (alledgedly) the V5 had been sent off to the DVLA. As you would expect they've lost it, so i have to apply for a new one which will take 4-6 weeks to come through, so until then i can't tax the bike, so can't ride frown

I know it's mostly my own fault, partly due to not paying more attention and getting the green slip, partly because i only realised it need taxed yesterday, i thought it was next month. Supposed to going on a ride out next week with some mates so that's off, along with those last minute evening rides.

Can't even go out tonight as i'm so bloody mad with myself i'm worried i'd ride it like an utter tt. Excuse the self pity, just a bit gutted

Not having tax wouldn't stop me riding at all!!

The chances of getting caught are pretty much zero AND if you did get caught it is only a small fine and back date the tax!
