Hi All,

I'm looking for somewhere local to buy decent car cleaning/detailing products near Harrogate. I doubt there is anything wrong with the Meguirs stuff from Halfords but I've got some time on my hands and I'd like to try something else, maybe swissol or zymol?

Any thoughts or recommendations are appreciated. smile

John

Halfords I was in the other day had a small stock of Zymol, but not near you unfortunately, worth double checking there if that's what you're after.

I bought quite a bit of zymol stuff to use on my car. The only bit i need at the moment is HD cleanse then i can get on with it.

I think there is a Porsche garage in York that is a Zymol dealer, i plan on going sometime next week possibly. I need a clay bar as well, although it has got quite a few swirls from its 12 years from previous owners so it needs to be machined really to get them out. I prefer to use natural products myself though.

Id say the cheap zymol that i got before from Halfords has the nicest smell though.

If your in Leeds and want to try it out your welcome to pop over, i should still have some of that and possibly the wax from Halfords. It needs to be hot for the wax to take though but i think i still have a bit, if your interested i'll check before you come over.

Cheers for the replies guys. I popped over to swissvax on Saturday afternoon (nice porsches!), bought a kit with Saphir wax.

Worked on the car (Clio V6 Mk2 in Blue) long into the night and I'm fairly happy with the results, feel I rushed it slightly though. Having used zymol before I found the swissvax alot harder to buff off.

BlueMR2 I can pop over at some point for a comparison if you like.

What tempted you to move over from Zymol Glyn, and is there much difference? I'd heard that they were both as good as each other.
