I have been thinking about upgrading my stereo to a new fangled one that will take an input from my MP3 player. I've tried an FM transmitter plug in, but I've found it a bit problematic. I seem to remember that the Griff has a non-standard connector for the stereo, so I was thinking of going another pioneer one. I was thinking about this one:

does anyone know if this will be a slot one out, slot one in job?
Cheers,
Pete

Couldn't agree more.I installed one of these
because its black to match the vents, symmetrical in appearance and has a round silver button to match my Leven buttons.
And it'll outlast the car because I hardly ever turn it on

I hate my stereo, with it's dancing bl**dy dolphins and f*cking flashing lights . . .
I need a stereo which doesn't keep changing it's appearance at night a I find it distracting. Once I get a 'screen saver' Il like on mine it flips from blue ish on black to black on blue ish, and the change I notice.
Quite like the look of that Clarion one, but does it have dancing sodding dolphins or racing cars or whatever the hell they seem to want to put on these things these days ?

Its a nice unit that you can change the back light to any colour but other than that its what i would call normalI need a stereo which doesn't keep changing it's appearance at night a I find it distracting. Carl Baker installed it for me Johno
The Griff (well my 96 one anyway) has a non standard plug. A landrover > ISO plug can be bought for about a fiver from your local ICE place but you have to slot it with a junior hacksaw and reposition the wires. I modded the adapter so that the car wiring remained standard and any stereo will fit now as my car is effectively ISO.

If anyone gets stuck I can post a piccie but I'd rather not take it out as there's a shed load of wire back there these days
