No Photos from the Hill climb?
I thought the 2nd one looks a little overblown in the middle. Also on a few of your car pictures from other threads as well the edges are sometimes quite dark, are you adding this as an effect at all?
On the car photos, the problem was that we lost a lot of light on the night and theres only so much exposure correction you can do on PS without getting the noise so I had to try and balance the exposure with quality and try to make them appealing without killing themI thought the 2nd one looks a little overblown in the middle. I hope its worked, most of them work for me

Are you a regular up that way then?
Trust me mate, once you've seen me, you'll find it difficult to miss me

Thats fair enough, I wasnt sure if you had a lens hood causing problems at all. You might find it worth investing in a tripod so you can do longer exposures at night. If you get one with short legs or that works inverted then you can still use it for really low shots, a remote shutter release could be helpful as well in that case.
Ive got a tripod somewhere, but havent got around to finding it yetIve also had the pleasure of trying a monopod which I really like so I shall be buying one sometime in the not too distant future
At the moment, Ive just made a guy on Ebay an offer on this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...
Hopefully he'll accept

I took these on the Vue Cinema night just before everyone came out from the film.
It was pretty dark at the time they were taken but i took the tripod out and used a shutter release and they were taken with a zoom lens. I dont know about you but i dont think i could hand hold a 200mm zoom shot for 1/5 of a seccond perfectly still.
A tripod can be bought cheap enough (£20 or less to start) and with it being a lower quality item compared to some hardcore tripods its pretty light as well if a little flimsy compared to more expensve ones. Definately worth a go, you can get some great late night shots with them.
Always keep playing with the camera and keep learning, there is so much knowledge to be learned through experience i need to get going more. I'd like to have some fun trying ut portraits, but dont know anyone to take photos of
.
I'll probably come to the hillclimbs in september if i get the chance, so if you fancy a go on a tripod with your camera bring it over and we can put it on.

Edit//** i might try a monopod out myself at some stage as well, they seem relatively small when closed up and it would be nice not to crouch down when taking photos as well as my tripod is a little shorter than me. That wide angle lens would be nice, i quite fancy a quality shorter lens as i only have the kit lens in that range at the moment, good luck getting that one if its good.**\\
