Having drooled over a couple of T350Cs at the mid-essex meet on Sunday, I'm left having to ask how on earth you navigate the average UK road without losing bits of GRP? Are speedbumps possible at all?

Was dubious about the T350 until seeing a couple in the flesh. Definate convert now, love 'em!

Ours catches occasionally but not as often as you might expect

As long as you are careful and take it slowly speed bumps are generally not too much of a problem.

Mine was the green 350,the ones that are in the middle of the road are ok if you go over them with just two wheels, but the ones that are the width of the road are a pain in the arse, mine is already scuffed under the bodywork.
By the way if you love them that much you can buy mine if you like.!!!

Mines pretty scuffed underneath. But its mainly on the black painted section so I just resprayed it and looks OK.

Is it me (and after a couple of glasses of vino it could well have been ) but roof/windscreen don't seem quite equal when looking at the car straight on from bonnet level. Almost appears that the roof is higher on the drivers side

Oh and while I'm at it my lights mist up when its been out in the rain !!!!!

No I have not been spending time with Jigs

Apex - are you sure that it's not that the roof is lower on the passenger side - you see there are at least two ways to look at everything. In my experience most cars with faired in lights suffer from some misting - could only be avoided if they were hermetically sealed units.

PS You're welcome to spend time with me next time you're in Ireland. I'm into classic Alfas too - '76 Alfa Romeo Spider 2000 Veloce nearing end of complete restoration. Had a Montreal briefly in the late '70s.

Jigs,

Don't suppose u want another Monty then as I'm trying to shift mine.

I blame "Top Trumps" - 70's Supercar pack. The monty was in there I'm sure I remember the eye lid lights. Anyway I bought it on a whim and although I love it there are too many cars in (and out) of the garage right now.

Thanks for the invite....

Snakes,

Thank-you. I can now rest easy that a) I'm not in fact "bog eyed" and b) my car isn't a "freak".

Hows the running in coming along ???

Apex goes into an expensive restaurant - orders the soup du jour.
The waiter, brings the soup.
Apex imagines he spots a piranha swimming in his soup and mutters under his breath.
Snakes, another customer with the soup, reassures Apex by confirming that there is indeed a piranha in his soup as well.
'Thank God I thought I was going bog-eyed and that there was something wrong with my soup' says Apex.
Hearing the chatter the waiter appears and enquires if all is well.
'Oh yes - compliments to the chef!' they chirp in unison and return to blissfully slurping their soup, carefully avoiding the piranhas.

Sometimes I worry for you sanity, but you seem to have even if unwittingly summed up the TVR ownership experience perfectly.

Have another shot of bushmills on me fella !!!

Not sure I "get your drift" jigs. I hope you're not taking the pi55. Definitely less profile on passenger side.

"Following years of careful research I am realiably informed the Driver Off Side Equilibrium Recalibrated Springs (DOSERS) pioneered by TVR following a £14.3m budget that has now been implemented on snakes TVR. I am personally very disappointed as I have not noticed my DOSERS however when I check I shall either:-

a) Be writing to enquire why my vehicle was not fitted with DOSERS and is it availiable as a refit.

or:

b) Is the DOSER system able to automatically recalibrate and why was I not made aware of the DOSER system during my car introduction.

Hope that clears up the details....James after too much wine and a long day

To answer the original question - the Tamora is fine over most speed bumps. I live in speed bump central and as long as I go slowly I don't catch anything.

The only ones that cause a problem are very steep and high speed bumps - usually recognisable by the scratches on the tarmac either side from people trying to jump them and scraping their sumps.

Presuming the Tamora and T350 front ends are the same you should be OK.
