I understand these beasts are quite rare, how many of you on here have one?

I only ask as, after what seems like years lurking around here, I finally put a deposit on one today (fastest colour of course )

Yep, she's a black 54 plate VXR, totally standard. Agree with you ringram, they were the model that was my number 1 choice, but they don't come up that often!

Can't wait to bring her home

Mines a Black 54 plate. Mark at Rapid GB is breathing a bit more fire into her belly as we speak! (an uprated fuel pump to keep up with the 9psi pulley!)

Got number 57, in black with Wortec performance pack + APs. Done 45,000 miles and counting.

Been to the ring + 5ks around Europe on the Furball tour. Got the thing measured at 119.7db as well!

Will go for heads and cams next... oh and its painted with the fastest colour.

If it's my old car, number 50,your getting a good one,any questions on it,list them and mail me.It had all recalls done,ALL the paperwork, they have all the bills, tax discs, original bill of sale,I would ensure they give you it all.water leak sorted properly first time etc.when will you collect it? You will love it.It hasn't been caned, you can do that bit,I'm a gentle old silver surfer.

That's very good to hear When I test drove it, it was way smoother than a CV8 I drove a few months ago with similar mileage! Hopefully I'll be picking her up end of this week. Just waiting for the new reg number to come through it seems. Good point on the documents, I'll make sure I get everything.

I've been informed it could be 10 days for DVLA to sort out the reg number censored. Very frustrating! Didn't cross my mind changing plates would be such an issue. Ah well, live and learn

they say that zym, one occasion I was warned it could take 28 days. The retention took 3 days to get paperwork back and then 20 minutes to do the swap at my local dvla office

There was a huge debate about that incident at the time - must have been Dec/Jan time - If you do a search I'm sure you will find it there were lots pictures of broken car/walls etc
