I was thinking of starting a campaign to bring back "Kit car" supremo Den Tanner to these forums, as his wealth of experience is invaluable, and now PF has (virtually) left the scene he should have calmed down a bit....smile

Good idea or not??....scratchchin

Did he need to reform?

Some of us thought he spoke the truth.
Others didn't understand what his gripe was and made up their own idea of what it was......

Then why does Kit Car magazine persist in sniping at PF and Python?

Bewarned though we have tried previously to get him back on with no luck.

To add a few open comments of my own especially as I was one of those that openly argued with Den the most.
I'm still not 100% happy with all that was said way back when, But things have moved on and I have to admit that Dens contribution was considerably more valuable than some I can mention.

One observation I will make is that as far as I have seen Den has always hounoured the PH dan and not just registered under a different name to continue posting like some others.

We also have a vigilent and fair administrator now (was there one then?) so my vote is to let him back.

Den's wealth of technical knowledge would certainly be an asset, so as long as restricts himself to that and not conducting personal crusades slagging other people off, then I'd be happy for him to be back.

There are a lot of people get slagged on here, Graham. Where do you draw the line? scratchchin

Well I could, obviously, I just wondered where you would draw it?? I think a bit of debate is all good fun. Two people for whom I have enormous respect had a little tussle on here the other week and no-one batted an eyelid.
One man's healthy debate is another man's personal crusade.

(Is a crusade personal if it's backed by more than one person?? scratchchin)

I agree there's nothing wrong with a good healthy debate as long as it's conducted in a mature and intelligent manner. I guess where I'd draw the line would be when it starts to degenerate into a childish slanging match and personal insults.
