Does anyone know if and when the Revival is being shown on TV??
Couldn't make it this year so need a fix of all the cars and stars??
Cheers,

No idea, but bizarrely I watched a film of last year's event in a hotel room in Sydney last month, when it was broadcast on a sport channel!Couldn't make it this year so need a fix of all the cars and stars??

Don't know, but it's usually a week or two afterwards, on a weekend afternoon. I just hope ITV don't find some way of Hamiltonising it as they did for the Festival of Lewis programme. They even managed to mention him while interviewing Colin Chapman's son about Lotus, as well as the obligatory interview with his Dad. The fixation with Hamilton took up far too much of a one hour programme that was intended to summarise 3 days of action, so many of the good bits didn't get shown.
Wrong, 20th Oct is a Tuesday anyway.
20:00 Tuesday 29th September:
: Goodwood Revival
Craig Doyle and Natalie Pinkham present the 2009 Goodwood Revival, the world's most popular historic race meeting. Sir Stirling Moss celebrates his 80th birthday in style among his many racing friends and most ardent fans. NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin flies in to be a special guest judge for the Freddie March Spirit of Aviation. And we mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic Mini, with a special appearance by Mr Bean.

For those unable to do either, the programme will be repeated on the following dates:
ITV1 – Thursday 1October at 01:30hrs
ITV4 – Saturday 3 October at 15:00hrs
hope this helps !

It was actually not bad.
The level of racing has increased and the fashion element decreased by similar amounts - still there but now not a fashion show with racing as an incidental element.
Only real criticism is why was the RAC TT race cut in half by commercial break I guess ? Also a pity that IVT4 continuity announcer spoke over the outro too.
It was better than it has been, but still further room for improvement. Commentators should know their stuff too.
7/10.

I Think Itv 'used to' a couple of years back, cover the revival on tv on the same weekend ,plus a couple of the Races where shown Live ! ..Or did i just dream this up ?!
In the earlier years is was covered by Meridian and only shown locally. I am not aware of it ever being shown live - only as highlights several weeks later. Meridian showed some of the Sunday racing at the very first Revival live on TV. I know, because I videotaped the broadcast on timer whilst I was at the event.
I think they did something similar in 1999.
They also showed an edited highlights package a few weeks later in those two years.
They were both very good programmes with very little celeb nonsense and good commentary. They were hosted by that bearded chap (Geoff something or other) whio used to host the "Best of British Motoprsport" programme that used to be broadcast in the early hours of the morning.

Yes, i thought as much !.. Then the programmes just got rather Naff over years (just like the festival of speed 'highlights' show!!) Apart from the F1, motorsport on tv seems to be getting worse and worse coverage This days I think they did something similar in 1999.
