trying to find a GT1

Jon will no doubt fill in a lot more, but from vague recollections of discussions on Locostbuilders, the GTR chassis is a reasonable development on the original GT1 so although you might prefer the looks of the GT1, you may be better off with the GTR dynamically. If that's the case, maybe the bodywork is interchangeable though if you can get hold of it?

The MK GT1 was taken over by Spire Sports Cars www.spiresportscars.co.uki was wondering if some one can help me. I'm looking for a Mk gt1 kit car to build, but Mk don't do them any more, i was wondering if any one would know where you can still get them from? all i can find is a GT-R, but i would prefer a GT1.

The GT-R is a totally different car to the GT1, I don't recall anything the two share apart from maybe the rear uprights, wheelbase, chassis etc all different I'm afraid.
There was a GT1 on ebay a few weeks back requiring completion, don't know if it sold, the last I heard and it was a while ago the jigs and body moulds where in Scarborough but the guy had no intention at the time of producing any, I do know he made one set of bodywork for a guy who had stuffed his though, he made contant via Martin Keenan (MK) now known as roadrunner racing.

1 car I wrote off at Cadwell, was later bought and put on the road, don't know where it is now.
1 car I owned and later sold to a guy from Holland, this is the one I put the dominator bodywork on, I believe dominator no longer exist ? Does anyone know ?
2 cars owned by a couple of guys at Goole (Playstaion livery) they where at one time for sale, don't know if they did sell.
1 car owned by a guy in France.
1 car owned by a guy in the South Yorkshire area, this was the guy who had the set of bodywork made.
1 car owned by a guy in the Lancashire area.
I believe there are still a couple under construction, I'm sure there was a builder asking for info on locostbuilders not so long ago so worth posting on there.
As for obtaining one you will be well lucky, the GT-R is a car well worth a look though, Martim aka MK now Roadrunner racing is producing a very mean Sprint-R that more than out performs both, but be prepared to be looked at where ever you go, its an eye catcher to say the least, the 1st one to SVA passed a couple of weeks ago at 1st attempt.
If you do locate one I do have a few bits still hanging around I have found lurking in the garage, no bodywork though, whishbones n stuff like that.
