Can you fit various seat?

I am thinking of changing my tired seats.......

Can I fit almost any seat as long as the dimension are similar?

Be careful on this one.

I fitted Tuscan / Cerbera seats in my Chimaera not and easy process...needed to lower them...and they were a tight fit (o.k. got a cage in there too) ....may not be a simple as first appears.

Cerb seats went into my Griff OK so I guess there is something different about those above.

Ian,

Had a look at your wrtite regarding your instalation, yep they are different, you have the earlier cerbera seats...the later Cerbies had the Tuscan style seats fitted....which are the type that I have fitted in my car.

As I said above the job was made more difficult in my car as I have the roll cage in there too...makes it all a little tight...so much so that it snaped the weld on the ratchet mechanism on the passenger side seat..this could not be recovered. So I ended up taking it apart, getting a replacement ratchet / recliner mechanism from Bell Hill and rebuilding the seat!

All good fun I guess.

In hindsight I think that yor seats are the better way to go.

I am mulling about the idea of using lotus elise seats. Should fit easy. Just a bit of messing about with runners i guess.

Does anyone know if the T350 seats fit in a Chim?
