has anyone found a way to stop the front of the bonnet flapping up and down, it seems that the bit where the wheels go into the guides could do with some kind of padding out

It's not just my bonnet then!!
I wrapped electrical insulation tape around the plastic round thingys to make it a tighter fit in the groove. Seems to work.

Assuming this is the same as the Chimaera, on mine the left back corner by the windscreen began lifting at 80mph after it was adjusted in a service.
I looked at the rubber/plastic stop halfway down the right edge and saw that it had been rotated so that the right edge could go lower than it used to be able to. I could see this from the wear on the rubber.

I raised it back up by loosening the screw and rotating it (it's a cam), and now, because the right hand side can't go down, the left hand side can't lift as easily.

I haven't seen it move since.
