Hi,

How many miles do you normally get out of engine mounts I have replaced 2 passenger side ones within two years. First replacement lasted all of 1 week, second lasted longer around 12 months.
Is there any upgraded versions? It's only a 400 so isn't really pushing that much power out. Luckly I caught it earlier enough not to do the usual damage to the swirlpot neck.

Unfortunetly I had to have the car trailer back from Barmouth last night but I did enjoy the journey there took a good picture on the way.

Does anyone know the range rover part number?

They are not a RR part! Derived from Rover SD1 - but better materials, Morgan use them if you want to try them.

They should last longer than you are finding, sounds like they may not be being installed correctly - if they are left stresses rather than simply compressed I think it will accelerate the deterioration, heat protection is also reputed to provide longer life.

They are known to tear under normal use so failure is not uncommon. They normally last longer than two years though.

SC Power will supply a support brace that limits movement and thereby prevents tearing from over extension. I will be fitting a pair next time I change mine.

Thanks Seasider,

I'm going to give Power a call to see if they have the engine mounts in stock. I would look at the brackets but at the moment I'm toying with idea of selling the car so don't I want to spend even more on her.
I just dont have the time to enjoy it any more (7 month old baby)you see if it does sell. I will buy another one in a few years time and this time buy the proper one with the extra litre.
