I see from Play.com there is a TVR DVD coming out on 23rd June.

Built in a garage in Blackpool using a mixture of second hand parts, the first TVR was created by Trevor Wilkinson, who founded the company. This programme is a celebration of the marque's history. 1hr 10min running time.

Anyone know anything about it? Is it a documentary that's already been shown on TV or something new? Just wondering before I spend £13...

(edited to add blurb and running time)

It's alright, but a bit boring and "old man car club-ish." It ends with early Tuscan development, which, when I bought it, was warm news, but will seem very out of date now, perhaps.

I have it. Agree with Nubbin...nothing of major interest and very out of date..

Must be the DVD version of the Duke Video, produced in 1999. As I helped the producers of the video with information and getting them into Back Home and Zolder where most of it was shot, I got a free copy.

If I'd have bought one, I'd have been disappointed, especially as the BBC Top Gear special on TVRs 50th Anniversary was much more interesting.

I bought it on video but was very disapointed. It was very poor quality, like someone had just bought some new video kit from Dixons for around £200.00 and gone straight out and made a film.

Lots of 'beardy MG Types' talking about their cars.

That would have been the bit where they interviewed Trevor Wilkinson....
