Noticed a white on white 86 countach for sale in classic and sportscar.Fsh and only 6850 miles and rhd. Price is only 49950-this seems really cheap to me considering the way prices are going up. Must admit this is my favourite combination of colours the 4 valve engine and no side skirts.Only thing that is not perfect (for me!) is it comes with wing.
removing / replacing the wing has to be the simplest amendment you could do!
It's a certainty that a few strong and tight rubber seals would fill the gaps after the wing is removed (mind you, that could be said about a lot of things after something is removed?!?!?!!) or else a new boot lid could be found in exchange for one without a wing from an owner who has a Countach with no wing and who really wants one...
As ever, joining LCUK would put you where you'd need to be! Also, contact us in any case about that car!

I looked at this car couple of months ago
Considering its mileage it is in very poor condition. The engine bay is a mess and the interior is very tired.
There was one stamp in the book for a delivery inspection service and that's it - the guy serviced it himself.
Personally I reckon the mileage can't be genuine

But the car is from the 80`s ,, lets keep things correct chaps
Which is exactly the point! Not all Countachs were fitted with the wing! As far as I know, NONE were actually fitted with the wing at the Factory - they would take the cars a short distance away and have them fitted elsewhere or by the various importers around the world. Sadly, some were fitted by chancer-types using 'not proper' stuff at the time, unlike now when 'replica' wings are at least as good as the real thing if not better in many ways!
So, 'correct' would be to have the car the way you, the owner, wants it to be - the wing wasn't a standard fit item but obviously, with the greedisgood 80's being the 80's, most Countachs had them on...
Personally speaking, I don't know too much about the white car in question (OK, OK, that's actually a fib!), wing or not, so I'd be tempted to take Craig's opinion as he owns another QV at the moment and has owned yet another in the past and has a more balanced opinion than most in that respect...
And, for what it's worth saying, he's just had the wing removed (I think) from the Countach he's just bought and the exhaust volume radically 'amended' with one of Carrera Sport's eardrum rippers, sorry, 'silencers'...
I was not thinking of buying her, a countach is a bit much for me at the moment! Just thought it was very keenly priced-but if it really is in poor condition, that makes sense. I have just sold my 328 gts after 4 years and am desperatley trying to save before i buy a replacement.......but i keep looking at the blue 512tr at foskers complete with tubi! Measured the garage this morning and it would fit! Even the missus likes it, must try and find more reasons not to buy!
