Hi

Looking for some advice. I run Outlook 2003 and XP. Outlook has stopped working, it crashes and freezes all the time. I can get it going but it normally takes about 10 goes and a couple of reboots.
It seems to be fully up to date with patches etc.
Any ideas solutions?

Find the PST files, copy them in case of accidents, then delete and recreate the profile. Point the new profile to the copied PST file, and voila!

If not, find the Outlook 2003 installation MSI file from where you put it, right click and select Repair from the context menu.

Copying PST file is an excellent suggestion. In addition I'd look in the Event Log to see if anything in particular seems to be triggering it... It depends on how techy you want to get..

Go to here, Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Event Viewer ,to check it.. Take a look at the Application log and see if there are any errors or warnings flagged, if not check the System one.. I'd also advise emptying these and then re-trying Outlook, so that you know the events logged in these are the ones you are interested in and not from other apps. misbehaving or from a few days/hours ago..
