Just failed MOT for Bulging Brake Flexi Hoses, Asking them to just get on and repair it was a bit like asking them to move Stroud a bit closer to the sea! Anybody know whether its a Rover or a Ford bit, part No. or anything? Cheers.

Peninsula warned me that mine were beginning to bulge at my last service - ok we're talking brake hoses here guys. Who's been standing on them too hard then? Or hopefully somebody will tell me "they all do that sir".

I had them change them for upgraded stainless steel braided type and at the time (last August) they charged £35.00 plus vat for a set of 4. Good value I thought, they'll probably courier them to you if you contact them 01884 35341.

My Griff failed its MOT on front brake hoses last week - Team Proactive fitted braided ones at £14.60 each plus labour.

Just out of curiosity, where did you take it for the MOT? I guess it wasn't a dealer/specialist!

(and you can leave Stroud just where it is thankyou! )

Halfords! I know, I know, but I needed it done in a hurry, (its almost as if it ran out last month (whoops)) and they were the only place who could do it NOW.

Just needed to give them a bit of help finding the bits! But don't worry its booked into a specailist on Saturday, when I calmed down I realised we were talking about the brakes! Lesson Learned.
