I've misplaced the CD Rom with the software which allowsd me to upload my photos on to my PC, via the bluetooth dongle, plugged into the USB. I had the software on my old PC, but that's gone now, and the CD Rom is awol. Can someone point me in the right direction to download suitable software online?

Thanks.

Then I can upload photos and sell stuff on an online generic auction site, that is currently cluterring up the house and garage!

Best place is probably the manufacturers web site. Mine's here.

If it's like Nokia phones, you don't need anything other than the bluetooth driver. I can browse to the C: & D: drives in my phone using My Computer.

Thanks to all for help so far; I have had another look and found my copy of Sony PC Suite. I've downloaded it, but I can't seem to make the connection between my phone and my pc. Can anyone give me tech help?!?

If you're on XP check the Event Log : Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Event Viewer, then check Application Log - this might indicate why it's failing, but not really telling you why it's failing (as it's being handily logged there!), it would also be worth checking the System Log as well. I would also advise emptying these (right mouse click on the tree item for both and empty them out - no need to store them anywhere) and attempting to connect it all up again.

My Nokia and some others like the phone to be in an unlocked state (i.e. the keypad lock off) and some of them give you options on the screen, once connected, to use the PC Suite or Mass storage, etc..

Does the USB 'bong' sound when you connect it? i.e. has the PC detected that a USB device has been connected, if not the cable might not be working or properly inserted, or the USB port might be disabled..

Sounds mad but reboot both the PC (with dongle in it) and the phone, then try the pairing again.

As a last ditch attempt, why not MMS the pictures out to your email address?

It should be easy. If your bluetooth dongle is plugged into the PC and isntalled correctly, the PC turned on then all you have to do is tell the phone to search for new devices (from memory its in menu/settings/conectivity/my devices then click add.) It will search for new devices find the PC and then all you need to do is make sure the bluetooth is turned on on phone and PC and it should connect automatically. If this doesnt happen then go to my devices again on phone click more then allow connection. Windows may bring up a menu asking what you want to do with the files it finds but if not you should be able to go to my computer and search the decive like looking through the hard disk, then copy and paste to the computer.
