Well quite a few of the roads around home are currently having "surface dressing" (started yesterday), so the wedge is now locked away to avoid any stone chips during this nice dry spell ... grumpy

Spreading liquid tar and then covering with loose chippings on a windy B road seems like a total waste of money to me... all paid for with our road tax for sure.

Why can't we do a proper job on anything these days?!

if you think stones are bad for a wedge , you want to hear the noise of them hitting the back wings of a '7' , horrible !

On the other hand, it's a good opportunity to get a high factor over the limit.

80+ in an (advisory) 10 - was a bit hairy, not much grip, but a factor of 8.

I had my car resprayed last year, and whilst it was being done, they chipped all the roads around the garage it was at!!!!! I left it there for another week before collecting it!
