after badgering FORD for ages about how to fit factory volume controlls to my car and being all sorts (can be done/cant be done/silly prices) i got pissed and just took my colw apart and figured it out myself.

took me ten mins to do whith the right adaptors.

only thing is i bought the controller off ebay and i think i got a little problem. everything works (volume/source) but witht he backwars and forwards (for changing tracks/station)button it plays up.

when i press forward it goes backwards, and when i press backwards it goes backwards? its gone forward about once or twice when its supposed to?

is this a problem with the controll stalk or a compatability issue?

the one i purchased bellow was from an 04plate mondeo and i got an 07 fiesta- but looked the same to me?

im gonna go ford tommorrow and buy a new stalk to see if this fixes it but it really baffled me?

any clues or ideas anyone?

i shud mention that i have an aftermart stereo (pioneer DEH-P75BT)

On one of my old cars I had this issue, I just learnt to deal with it - could never work out why, as everything should be hard wired and shouldn't switch round.

having problems with my steering volume controls. apparently the autoleads stereo patch lead has and issue with newer pioneer head units - they have advised me to use pioneers own patch lead.

with the autoleads adaptor, when i press track back it goes back - and when i press forwards it also goes back. autoleads tell me this is a known software issue. so, i need:

pioneer

Part no: RC-HW CA-R-PI.063 - where can i buy this item? i've looked everywhere and nobody seems to stock it?
