Have you lost any weight recently ? It's a serious question.

When I bought my car 9 years ago I was 2 stone heavier... never had issues with comfort even on really long drives to Le Mans etc. Recently I have started suffering on trips over 100 miles or so (and on rowing machines) and conclude it may be that I have less natural padding in that area.

I'm quite skinny (6 foot and under 11 stone) and I find my Elise's seats perfectly comfortable. I do drive an S2 though, I've never tried long journeys in an S1.

The only discomfort I suffered in the Elise was on long journeys when it would make my lower back ache. I've just finished going to see a chiropractor for a frozen shoulder, so I've been manipulated and clicked, e voila, my lower back pain has also disappeared.

Have you fallen over recently, and is it only in the Elise that you get the pain?

The pain is constant especially sitting down anywhere. Havnt injured myself at all & cant explain why it started 4 days ago.

This may sound like a really pervy question, but please bear with me; have you got a really hairy bum?

My brother had similar symptoms and it turned out to be an ingrowing hair!

I found that for a good 4 months or so after getting the Elise, my back REALLY ached. Not in the same area as you Boobles, but right at the base of it, just above my ass........and it felt like someone had been punching my kidneys for a while......

It eventually went away, but now I have got back to the MR2, I don't get any of that aching or pain half as much as I used to with the Elise. Its not that I found the standard seats uncomfortable. If anything, they were the most comfortable seats I have sat in. But I think it was more the after effects of them once I had got out of the car.........

Couldn't explain it, still can't and couldn't stretch to Probax..........so I still think it was the original seats causing the problems.

Still, small inconvenience when I was more concerned with the driving........ wink

I have terrible trouble with my coccyx in my Elise S2 111S. It seems to be resting directly on a very hard part of the seat. At 10 stone and 5'10" you can imagine that I don't have much padding back there!! smile
