The blown version of the VXR8 will increase the power output to 540bhp and with this brute adding a further 30% of torque – around 715Nm in total – it is expected to smash the current 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds, providing the rear tyres haven’t squealed into submission after attempting this. For those that crave this extra power then the supercharger will cost an extra £6,995 and be available on the option list from October or fitted retrospectively, both with a three year factory guarantee.

My first post here.
I drove the new VXR as part of a 'research and evaulation day' a few months ago at the Top Gear studios. They were doing a feature comparison against BMW. Mercedes and Audi in October. Initially, sat with Jeremy Clarkson at the wheel then we had a go. I drive a 535d, but the VXR is an awesome piece of kit even in its standard guise.
The roar from that thing - very addictive. I'm going back in October for the second interview for my 1.4 seconds of fame!

That's mine and a Monaro VXR not a VXR8. Aren't you glad I put the silencers in for that day? It was erm significantly louder a week before that!
