Just wanted to take a quick poll. I most definately did not buy my car as a pulling machine but I had quite an interesting experience over the weekend.

Having turned up at a friends party on Saturday afternoon, I was parking up and an attractive blond came running over to the car, jumped in the passenger seat (after I told her how to open the door) and demanded that we went for a drive.

Never met her before in my life. And she positively encouraged me to rag the arse off it....

How often does that happen??

I parked a Tamora for a photoshoot and was surrounded by a group of four or five German female students around the age of 18 or so. One rubbed her hand over the lush leather interior in a way which overcame the language barrier. Whilst it might come as a shock to those who know me, this is not a normal occurrence. When not in a TVR I can go days without being accosted by one 18-year-old German female student let alone five.

My problem is that most attention comes from school boys. Not really what I was hoping for.

Ok. So it doesn't happen very often. But when it does, it's memorable for all concerned..

Hmmmm....dont think I will let the good lady wife drive it again - it attracts school boys and their less automotively focused fathers!

Bizzarly , I have received more female attention when in full Medieval plate armour something to do with the Knight in shining armour and the damsel in distress thing but more probably because they know they are safe!!

Very difficult to be spontaneous in six stone of armour, after a battle.

3 TVRs and never once has it attracted a female. All it attracts are men wanting to know 'how much', 'how fast', blah blah blah.

i'll believe a car can 'pull' when i see it happen. until then it's a nice dream! smile

I was washing both cars on my drive last Sunday morning. The Tamora is silver and the P-reg MR2 T-Bar is blue.

Two really stunning looking women were jogging past my house, and as they passed I said "good morning" to them, and they waved and said good morning back with a nice smile.

Then one of them said to me "I love the blue MR2" irked, and carried on jogging down the road, then I heard the other girl say "but did you notice that awesome TVR aswell"smile

Having looked at Arebrec's profile, I reckon she knows how to open the door so probably not! laugh

yes agreed...

I'm unsure what it is in a blokes psychology that makes him think that no matter how handsome/ugly he is - his car will get him a girl.

Did you ever get off with an ugly or fat bird cos she had a flash motor?

The same applies to women - you've got to really think females are vacuous to believe that.

Only female attention I have had is from the wife when she laughs and says how much of a poser I look at times in the car. A couple of young lads looked round today and stared at the car when I went by. The wife was with me and I said that they were obviously looking at her hehe She turned to me and replied, "Well it wasn't the bald bloke driving it was it?" irked

I was cleaning the car a few days ago and a little lad of about five came by and said excitedly and loudly, "Wow dad a TVR" How he knew what it was I don't know but the next few seconds gave me a clue because when Dad followed I'm not sure who got more excited - him or his son smile

It seems strange, therefore, that girls will wave at me when I'm in my TVR yet ignore me in my Mondeo. Are you seriously suggesting that the amount of power or money a man has is of no account to a woman? I went out in a friend's road going Tuscan racer. I'm a fat old bloke, he's a plump slaphead. Queue waves and lingering glances from women. On the assumption that there wasn't a meeting of the vacuous women's guild nearby, I would assume this was a cross section of womankind.

Women treat men differently when they get out of a £35,000 T350T compared to a Fiesta. Face it, women like men with money as much as men like fit girls. It doesn't make either sex vacuous, just human. Men are attracted by women with silicon, women like men with lots of plastic.

I'm probably gonna get flamed for this or beaten up by the gf if she see's this or both but hey ho.

I was chatting with a chap the other day who was taking the piss when he found out that I had a S before my Chim.

He seemed to think they were tarts cars and that I must be gay, I told him that the S twanged more knicker elastic then you could believe.
All the time ladies in the street would stop to give me a wink and a smile as I drove by.
Lots of comments from them when I was parked up but the one I really remember was in traffic when a stunning girl leant right out of her window shouting WOW WOW at me. I said is that one WOW for the car and one for me or two WOW's for the car? biggrin

Anyway since I sold the S and bought a Chim ................... nothing.............maybe a smile from them but nothing like the reaction of the S.
But as has already been said many times in the chim and griff forums that these two cars pull little boys from every direction.

Sorry - thats just bullsh1t. Ugly is Ugly - women wont hold the image of your car in their head while they take off their clothes to get in the sack with you - no matter how much money you have or what you just climbed out of.

Unless its a prostitute.

There's another thread running in P&P about this - go see what the women say for themselves.

Even women don't believe what women say about themselves so it's a bit too much to hope that any bloke will.

I'm not saying that money/power is the only criterion that women use, it's just a tick, and a big one, in the box. A chap who owns three Ferraris, two yachts, one villa and three-quarters of Burgundy need only have looks which don't make a woman violently sick to genuinely attract a bevy of blondes. It doesn't make them vacuous just victims of their own bodies. A bloke will look for something above a C cup, her own teeth and no, or limited, halitosis and he's head over heels, a victim of his you know what. If she lived above a pub, that would be just an added bonus.

Expensive cars are a sign that men are successful. It can be a form of display, one identical to low cut tops, just with a bit more cc.

If you want to convince me that power is not an aphrodisiac for women, explain the attraction of Blunkett. No, don't bother. I've just eaten.
