Does anybody know how to post pics?

stupid question - loads of you do - is there a simple guide anywhere as it doesnt work for me and been trying for a while now

have them stored in the webshots as recommended but copying the codes across doesnt seem to work i only get the black box with red cross - how frustrating!

there is a thread on website feedback just on this topic:
http://pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&amp...

and if you quote this reply you will see what you need to post a pic.
my car

which would be {pic}link to pic {/pic} replacing the { and } with square versions [ and ]

Ok - think I have this figured out so thought i would help a few that might be struggling or have done a search.

I have used Photobucket and uploaded my pics to an album on there.

Click the photo you want and it will come up with a box of four different codes on the right hand side

ie

1) Share URL
http://.........

2) Direct Link
http://.........

3) HTML tag
<a ref...............

4) IMG code
[IMG]http://............

For putting a photo of your car or previous car in your profile simply click the 2nd link - Direct link and then paste into the required box in your profile

To post a pic in a discussion or forum use the 4th code - IMG code and simply copy and past the link into your text that you are writing.

(by doing this there is no need to add the [pic] and [/pic] as mention in other posts as it is already there in the form of at the beginning and end of the link)

Hope this helps somebody

Hello there.
Just a note here.
I followed the Wishy directions as he posted, and very good they are too. Can't go wrong there.

Now my computer knowledge is very limited and posting pictures was not included.
What threw me was that after following the instruction I was expecting to see the picture/graphic come into view when I had cut/copy and pasted into my forum reply box.
Not so......yes I know that all of you knew that.....but I did not. Just a long list of letters and numbers turn up in there. Which is fine as that is the way it works.

Hence my trial post. So for others with a similar lack of knowledge, I hope that this helps.

But many thanks to Wishy for his A,B,C, guide

Speedeight.
