Hi. Want to upgrade to some bigger brakes on my 4.2 (98) and can lay my hands on some 4.5 calipers.
Do I need to upgrade any other parts apart from the calipers?
Also how much to you reckon 2nd hand (good condition) calipers are worth?

Think you will need new upgrights/hub carriers according to APM who is going to do mine shortly. Also if you want to use the proper 4.5 rotors then you will need a set of bells to fit em onto, other option is to use the Tuscan S 1 piece disc which is I think what I will be doing.

I did this on my T350 when I went from 304mm to the Tuscan S 322mm disc used in the RR conversion. Spacers were supplied by Dom, and longer bolts to the hub. However, the was on a t350 which has different set up to the Cerb.

So in answer to your question, spacers can be used, and there was no adverse effect on brakeing or stress to the component

Yep there was a talk of possible use of spacers as an alternative but will leave it to Andy to work out what he best needs, think he said last time he did one he just got some uprights from BellHill.

This was a 4.2 (291mm) to 330mm conversion. I already had the 4.5 callipers. If you want to go to the standard 4.5 322mm discs, you can just use the 4.5 uprights and that will do - you can go to 330mm from these using simple spacing washers. But if you are going from 291mm to 330mm like I did, I'd advise custom made aluminium spacers. Mine cost £100 and use the standard bolts. Note if using 330mm AP discs, get them in 28mm thickness and no thicker.
