Problem with 95 750il No throttle!

Does anyone on here Know anything in regards to this model? I was driving along and suddenly had no throttle.If the car had a throttle cable I would have said it had snapped. Bought new potentiometer £317!!!!! No difference! Any ideas guys and girls? Any help will be greatlly appreciated.
