My god they are actually starting to make some money
Italian sports car manufacturer confirms positive trend
Automobili Lamborghini Sets New Record
in the First Half of 2007
- 30% improvement in deliveries around the world
- 61% growth of turnover
- with a 283% leap, the profit reaches 26,4 Million
Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. has once again beaten a record in the company’s history in the first six months of FY 2007, still in progress (31/12/2007). All of the major indicators – sales, turnover and net profit – have gone up considerably.
This automaker, rich in tradition, located in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, made approximately 30% more international deliveries in this period, equivalent to 1,239 (952) vehicles.
The company also set new records in turnover and net profit. Turnover rose exponentially, by almost 100 million (61.5%), settling at 253.1 (156.7) million.
In terms of profit, the company came even closer to its goal of becoming the most profitable sports car manufacturer. At 26,4 million, its net profit has already clearly passed its record-breaking figure of the entire financial year of 2006, which totalled 18.1 million. The profit increase is 19.5 million for the period. This is an increase of 283 per cent, growing to a total profit of 26.4 million in the first six months of 2007, compared to 6.9 million profit in the first half of 2006.
All of the chief indicators have surpassed both forecasts and market segment growth.
Four major growth and profitability factors arose during the period in question. In the first place, the latest and even more alluring generation of cars with the introduction of another model, the Gallardo Superleggera. Secondly, persistent concentration on expanding its network of dealerships, and the brand’s higher attractiveness amongst customers and in public opinion. Lastly, the professional capability of the Lamborghini’s employees who are motivated by a strong sense of belonging and passion.
President and CEO of the automobile manufacturing company, Stephan Winkelmann, offered a few comments. “Our global growth strategy is starting to bear fruit. Nevertheless, we must not forget that in spite of our increasing and unreserved concentration on profitability, growth and the international presence of our brand, the challenges we will have to face are growing at the same pace. We are well positioned, and following the excellent first half of the year that just ended, we know we are following the right path in order to post another record-breaking year in the company’s history”.
To further reinforce the success of Automobili Lamborghini, the world network of dealers will undergo continuous expansion. Today Lamborghini dealers number 105, compared to 65 there were in 2004.
And the strong demand in 2007 for the Lamborghini Gallardo and Murciélago models - and particularly for the new Gallardo Superleggera that was recently introduced – is one basic element leading to the half-year’s record-breaking result. Sales already cover the entire production up until the first half of 2008.

Lambo are also apparently on a big push to increase merchandising of the brand which is so profitable for other companies like Ferrari.
Unfortunatley it will also de value the brand imo
Really? Doesn;t seem to of done Ferrari or Harley Davidson any harm.Unfortunatley it will also de value the brand imo
You can get every product imaginable stamped with a prancing horse logo these days. That does nothing for th eexclusivity of the brand. But why should Ferrari care if it makes them a lot of cash?

I'm sure Porsche will be watching
Andy: Porsche already owns a huge chunk of the Volkswagen group now that some protective German / Saxony(?) laws have been overidden by the European Union. These laws were all that kept anyone wishing to have controlling ownership of Volkswagen AG away, like Porsche...
So now, shares have been traded, deals done etc etc and therefore, Porsche now effectively owns a big chunk of Automobili Lamborghini SpA...
Porsche aren't just keenly watching so much as will have already known about these figures long before they were made public!
Is anybody else heartily sick and tired of hearing Mickken carp on about Gallardo clutches?
Whatever it was that caused you to become quite so endlessly whining and griping - GET OVER IT - change the boring record, take some time off on a deserted island somewhere or please, just s t f u and leave people alone...

Hmmm still very weak ROI & ROFE. Include new product development costs & investing in a specialist sports car manufacturer begins to look as sensible as investing in the airline industry. Ask Singapore Airlines about their 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic they've put on the market...actually Lambo might appeal to them as better investment!

Image is very subjective, obviously. Personally, when I see someone decked out in all the gear, it just makes me think they're trying too hard. If they've got a cool car, without the tinsle, it shows that they're into cars and not image.
There's a "Ferrari Fags" section on Lambo Power, which aptly demonstrates my sentiments.
God help us if "Lambo Fags" becomes a reality.
And have you ever seen the sad gits on Harleys trying to look like Bad Ass Mo Foes? Yikes!
IMO, as usual.

I'm not having a go at anyone apart from the losers at Lamborghini who make such crap cars.....and clutches. Freedom of speech is great, isn't it.....still voting Communist?Whatever it was that caused you to become quite so endlessly whining and griping - GET OVER IT - change the boring record, take some time off on a deserted island somewhere or please, just s t f u and leave people alone...
If I can get 30,000 miles from a Lambo clutch (even though they are 'crap'as you state) and 20,000 on the next including 7000 miles of trackwork, then it's not Lamborghini who are the losers is it?!
