Looks good though. Need to dig into the rebuild history to determine exactly what was done and where. Good luck.

Oil pressure looks very low, either that or the needle dont sit in correct position.

Well spotted. Temperature getting up into egg-frying range would maybe account for it. Have a good look at the rad when you view (not easy on air con models)

I had just assumed that the engine was not running - with just ignition on?

I'm sure I've read somewhere that the speed 6 engines only have about 14-20psi oil pressure at tickover. I could be wrong though.

Yep. Making sure the cooling is working efficiently would be more of a concern to me (with my limited but growing to fast experience)

Me too. My temp gauge reads similar to that. Easy to confirm on a lap-top.

you didnt see any action happening on my car when you were round there did you? (greenish silver r reg 4.2 cerb) or are you just looking at ph classifieds? Ive been waiting ages for parts etc to come in for mine, but I think fingers crossed theyre gonna try and have it ready for collection next week

Be very careful when dealing with offords. They charged me alot of money for servicing and geo check/adjustment which had to be re-done by a somebody else properly.
