ignition amp help required!

In an effort to track down a slight misfire I took the dizzy cap off to check rotor arm etc but in my heavy handedness I managed to dislodge both of the wires off the ignition amp and dont have a clue as to which way round they should be...
could someone pleas tell me?
One wire is from the coil so should that go on the connection nearest the alternator or furthest away from it?
Dont want to guess it, in case it buggers the amp

White/black (2 wires) on driver's side.
White/yellow (1 wire) on passenger side.

Hope that helps - 400SX = 400SE.

Hi Adam, my wires are blue and brown!! but think I have it sorted, found a photo in the wedge bible of the amp with a description of where the wires go so panic over!
Still have to find what the other problem is as it is now very reluctant to start
