Hi Everyone

I keep seeing blogs posted with Murcielago's blasting along with their batwings UP!!! (see thread http://www.motortrend.com/av/roadtests/112_0708_20...

I cannot get mi batwings to stay up any faster than 4mph............. am I missing something?.......... Have I not yet found that illusive button?.......... so at the moment £5k's worth of great looking gadget is going to waste!!!

Cheers all

What you need to do is this: start the car and manually lift the batwings using the button on the centre console, then as you switch the ignition off, simultaneously switch the battery master switch to the off position too! The wings will now stay in the up position!

When you want them to work 'as normal' couple of different ways depending on age of vehicle (I think) but on my 2003 car, you had to push the switch on the c/console as you turn the ignition on then the motors take over and and everything back to normal!

Hope this helps smile

Cheers Freewheeler - I will try that. Just took a look at your profile, went to your site and found the Murci....

Question:
You say all keys included. Do you have a key with a gold embossed Bull on it. When I bought car all I got was 2 cheap plastic keys that hardly befitted te car at all. I read the manuals which say I should get this far nicer key.

No worries Neil,

Had two keys with a silver bull embossed on each!! You can buy spares quite easily from the main agents!

The keys changed on the 2004 MY cars with a chunky Audi like key with a gold bull on it. I only got 2 when SG54 was new

My car was probably the last one to have rank plastic numbers before someone said 'lets supply a key that befits the class the car oozes!!'

Punishment for w**ker who run over mi car.

Frankie Hulme - the tt who did it - went to court on the 24th August. I wrote a victim statement expressing how much this will cost me and how he is publically boasting it around town. Judge gave him 100 hrs comm service, tagged for 4 months, and fined £1000 - my costs are currently running at £15500 for repairs - thats the f**kin justice system for you.

Regards

Neil,
Sorry to hear of the failure of the CJS once again - restoring faith in the thousands you have paid in tax to be treated like shit whilst the chavs get money thrown at them.
If you can be arsed, bring a civil claim against this clown. Honestly, its not much hassle because he has been convicted in a criminal court so ipso facto he has already passed the burden threshold in the civil court so no way they can find in his favour. You probably wont get any money back from him but get a judgment, screw his credit rating and generally piss him off -

Only when you hit the old lady walking across the road, normally she will glide over the aerodynamically shaped body but with the vents up she may catch her stockings hense causing damage to her squashed hedgehog

Worth pointing out that keeping batwings up might jam the motors over a few months so I give them a bit of exercise every few weeks and make em go up and down smile

I don't intend to keep them up all the time, but it's just handy to know how to do it ...so thanks again all for the advice.

I've seen a couple of pedestrians, cats and prams sucked up by the vents, so be careful with them up.
