Hi all, just wondered what the wise ones out there use to keep their odds and sods in,whilst in the Griff boot.I'm fed up of the good old carrier bag which keeps splitting and spewing eveything everywheremad, and just want something that'll sit in the corner and allow me to put the roof in without having to move it etc.I've seen TVR badged boot tidys advertised on e-bay,but they look like they'll sit along the floor of the boot, does anyone have one of these? So what are you guys and gals out there using to keep your spares and such like in?
Cheers,Mike

Yeah I have a similar one to the ebsy ones - mine has velcro so it can be stuck to the back panel in the boot away from the roof panel, etc.

So if your boot tidy is the one advertised on ebay or where did you get it, would you recommend it?

The boot carpet around my fuel tank looks like it has never been moved. So I don't want to disturb it without reason.

It also looks like there should be some space above the tank that could be utilised.

If I removed that carpet, would there be space to store stuff?

I thought of either replacing the carpet with cargo net on elastic or tailor making a bag with locating clips to fit.

Has anyone tried anything like this, is there room and are there any likely problems?

How much space would be gained?

The ultimate boot tidy is the Leven one, this was made out of stainless steel and fitted in above the petrol tank (on the ledge). There was a blue Griff with the blue bra on it at the Griff Growl(sorry cant remember his name)he had one with a foam cutout inside to hold in place tyre weld, wheel key, ect, ect.
The other big benefit having one of these is the witness mark left on the roof panel was not on his but was very apparent on all the other Griffs parked along side his.The reason for this is the roof panel does not rub on the petrol tank.Maybe someone will be able to post a picture, now for the downside
Leven only made a limited number of these, if there was enough of us interested in buying one they may start to supply them, please note I have not yet confirmed this with Leven.

I use an old rucksack to hold stuff and I did have a spare tool kit inside a cheap plastic tool box. The tool kit was a great excuse to refresh my tools and put those 15 year old screw drivers and pliers as reserve. This means 2 bags out to get at the roof.

Problem was I was doing an emergence roof-on stop an a M40 service station due to rain, 2 bags out but only 1 bag back in - bugger !

Is that just to sit on the ledge or does the carpet move to increase available room?

Dependent on price, I would be up for the Leven thing, but if there is more room wasted beind that carpet I would rather get something made to utilise it.

Anyone know if the space is there and what Leven sold tem for last time?

Velcro sticks surprisingly well to the boot carpet, and allows you to 'stow' loads of odds & sods in the hidden recesses of the wheelarches I find.
