I am looking to buy a camera detector, ideally I want a one box soloution, was thinking about the road angel, because it seems to do it all and is portable between car and bike, any body got one with an owners viewpoint, or advice with regards to alternatives would be much apprecited.

Finally a recommendation to a dealer or good website to buy one at a reasonable price would also be very helpful.

Remeber that most of the problem is laser these days and no matter what calibur of detector you get it will not allow you to react quickly enough to respond to a laser

Anyone got experience with the Road Angel? Do lots of driving round towns I don't know during the football season, and although I'm pretty good at remembering camera spots, they do seem to be breeding. I like my licence clean thank you very much, so a GPS system is currently on the shopping list. But which one?

At the moment it's a toss up between the Road Angel and the Origin Blue i. Reviews would suggest the Road Angel, but just wondered which was used most by the people here, and what experience people have had with it? Easy to use, fit and so on?

I think a lot of people like myself have the Road Angel.

It's a great piece of kit, and well worth the investment.

I find that I can concentrate more on genuine road hazards, particularly in towns and cities, rather than looking all around me searching for speed cameras.

I would quite agree, but it's hard to be fully alert when your eyes are glued to the speedo for fear of being flashed by a "safety" camera hidden behind a tree....

Anything that can provide an external stimulus and alert me to a potential hazard (cameras are in blackspots after all...) is to be encouraged, surely?
