V8S REBUILD PHOTOS

Depressing.

It just makes me realise how much work I have to do to get my car to that state.

Oh yes - do those rear lights have any reflectors ?
I thought it was an MOT fail without red rear reflectors.

there are things not everybodys taste. the wheels are the main debate point too modern. too big. too bling.the lights are another, i have normal ones to fit if need be.i dont take it personal its nice to be different.

congrats looks superb again any one that saves a car from being scrapped needs congrats. Just a personal thing keep it as intended, drop the bling wheels and rear lights but otherwise well done.

Saw it in the flesh at S Club - I like it, wheels and all. Not too sure about the lights though...

But it's a beautiful car and thanks for showing us the photos. As I said on the day - it's your car, sod what anybody else thinks

i have had a bit of stick for the wheels on my car but i love them you can not please everyone, there are the purists out there and then the people who like to try things out ,be yourself and above all enjoy your fantastic car,garfy

Looks great, love the way you have changed the bumper area on the bonnet, really modernises it, Good effort

Looks great and really well documented, I wish I had the enthusiasm to do a similar job on mine.
Out of interest did you do any work on the large outrigger that carries the rear arms, pic 10 of 17 in the chassis section shows some corrosion on the end, or was it just superficial?

the outrigger that carries the trailing arm was perforated on the end cap only and rusted.the rust was ground back to clean metal and treated. the end cap was cut out and new steel welded in. thanks for the responce it makes it all the more worth while.

I think your car looks superb and in particular the front bumper treatment... thats neat and makes all of the discussions about indicator lenses academic.
I also think that the S is one of the few older sports cars that can look as great with modern wheels and bling as it does in its traditional form.

Its spot on mate (but I would have dark smoked rear lights - sorry)
