Fortunately it's not now. Ok, Mr S has had a good go however, there's always rumours floating around about the possibility of production restarting somewhere some-when.

This is not the big problem though....

Eventually, this whole Global Warming, CO-deux malarkey is going to be the final nail in the coffin as far as I can see.

Unless it can pass under the "we're a low volume manufacturer" banner, TVR's collective CO2 output is going to force it off the road or back to the days of turbo charging. So no more, strung out straight sixes or lumbering V8's. Even then it's going to need some massive "small cars" behind it to reduce is overall CO2 output.

How would you as a TVR owner or prospective purchaser feel then? Is Naturally Aspirated the only route for TVR? Would you be peeved if NS put a Turbo in the Tuscan 2 and dropped it from a 6 to a 4 cylinder with just 2.5l output? What about a hybrid TVR???? (Arrrrgggghhhh did I just say that out loud???)

Own/Drive/Race/Enjoy your TVR's while you can.
These cars, along with most Big Classic's are going to be legislated off the road, and out of existance in the not too distant future.

Well, after the ing, bastard, shitty, ing, tting, total and utter wet wankfest of a summer we have had, (Goodwood wet, again, and my holiday in Cornwall, wet), all I can say is bring on the global warming. I'm sick to bloody death of these shitty wet, crap miserable excuses for summer that we keep having.

And so to compansate, I'm doing about 1100 miles per month in the TVR, and as much of it as sideways as possable.

Climate change? Shove it up your arse.

Just as I said, currently there is a glimmer of something happening yet in a few years from now there would have to be major change once again and I was curious as to how people would feel about a TVR if those changes occurred.

hehe I would love the chance to run this country and to bring it kicking and screaming back into line.

I hate the idea of a benifit culture. I hate the idea of billions of £££'s being wasted on this war in Iraq and the massive waste in the public sector. I hate the fact that half my teeth are rotten and I still cant see a bloody dentist. I hate the fact that people can turn up on the back of a loory and straight away get a house and benifits when they have contributed nothing to this country. I hate the fact that victims of crime get offered so little support, whilts the perps get off almost scott free. I hate all this nonsense and crap we are fed about "Climate Change", when really it is nothing more than an excuse to raise revinue. I hate the fact that when Gordon Brown was Chanceller he spunked hundreds of millions of pounds away that wasnt even his, (lets just call it theft), when it was really taxpayers money. I hate the attitude that to try and strive, and work hard to be succesfull in this country is becoming something to be ashamed about.

Man, I would just love the opportunity to bring this country kicking and screaming back to its once great level.
I vote Frazer for Prime minister. clapclapclap

Let me think,,, fast car production progressively legislated against... equals no more new fast cars. Assuming such legislation isn't back dated (usually the case). Lets all have a guess at what happens to the value of the fast cars still on the road.. = SKY HIGH.. personnally I would prefer not to have such legislation appear but it is probably a matter of time so hold on to your vehicles.. infact buy another! Insurance premiums will go up though!

And yes, there is always a way round the rules so someone will work out how go fast whatever legislation turns up..

My guess is they will go for bikes first, if that happens the writing is on the wall.

cheers

Given that the most potent greenhouse gas on the planet is water vapour (responsible for 90-95% of the effect) I wonder what the Government are going to do when they have forced internal combustion engines off the road in favour of fuel cells that produce nothing but water vapour?

Ahh yes, that's it, tax cars on the basis of their emissions of water vapour!!!!!

It's all a load of B@ll@x - be proud of your gas guzzlers while you can and spread the word at every dinner party you go to.

Alternatively. Get some dynamite with a short fuse and toss it through their front door that will sort them out..
