I have a cheapy Tom Tom go,if I used an SD card with a european map and took it on a holiday flight,would I be able to track where the plane was, using the Tom Tom?

I've done it with an old Garmin eMap GPS unit. (I used to use it in conjunction with a PDA running TomTom)

I was just very careful not to let any of the airline staff see what I was doing - switched it on, and put it back in my pocket - looked at the track later.

It was quite cool to see a max. speed of over 500mph on it.
